I recently spent two nites at the Red Roof. It will be the last two nites that I will ever spend at a Red Roof Inn. The only good thing I can say about the Inn is it has easy access to the interstate. Now for the other side of the coin. The laminated flooring had large lumps in it.
Can't say for sure what was under the flooring but my assumption is it used to be living. The bath room looked as though it hadn't been remodeled since the early 70s'. There were holes in the walls where the towel rack had been remounted.
I'm not talking just holes the size of the screw I mean an actual hole large enough for three fingers to go into. The toilet seat hadn't been updated the building was built. The tub didn't have a drain strainer in place and someone had used cheap paint to cover up where the strainer used to be.
When you turn the knob for the shower head it didn't work properly so you had half the water coming from the faucet and half coming from the shower head. The filter in the AC unit hadnt been changed because you could smell the mildew in the air coming out of the unit. Now I'm sure that not all Red Roof Inns are as poor as this one.
However, because of just this one I not inclined on However, because of just this one I not inclined on staying at another one. The Mall of Georgia should consider suing Red Roof Inn for using their name in its name for advertising because there is no comparison between the level of service and quality that you receive at the Mall of Georgia and that which I received at the Red Roof Inn.
