Does anyone know of a Mazatlan resort with a dedicated adult only pool? The El Cid said it has one but its restricted to owners only which we will never be. The Rui looks like it has one but very crowded, anyone know of any others? Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay has an adult only pool Pueblo Bonito Emerald Baay has the adult only pool Scrubtec mentioned and it has a larger pool up near it's Bistro restaurant that , although not designated as "adult only', seldom has other than adults there.
RIU Emerald Bay has a very nicely designed adult pool with hot tubs, serving tables around the edges, and a large pool bar. How well they enforce the "adult only" aspect of the pool is another matter.
Generally, resorts are not good about keeping kids off the bar stools. Have been to PBEB numerous times, and have observed activity at the "adult pool". It is much quietertan the main pools and seldom are children about. We use that pool, to relax and read when we wish, and I don't think I've ever noticed kids in the pool or around the pool bar.
Whether the adults only policy is enforced by PBEB management or the policy is respected by the guests is unknown. I suspect the latter. We loved it We did pay a little extra but so worth it.
