Was here for a business stay for 3 nights. It is appalling that the place is even associated to the Shangri-la brand.
To begin with the check in is monotonous with no smile nor clear instructions. The room is extremely and I would like to emphasise Breakfast was somewhat like something a 3 star hotel would offer, I ended up having to visit the Starbucks nearby every morning for my caffeine fix as the one served in the hotel is very diluted. They stinge on the toiletries and refused to give more even after verifying that there are 2 full grown men in the room.
The water pressure from the shower is really low. The writing desk sits right front of the TV and I sleep with my feet dangling on the sofa at the edge of the bed. However the only redemption point is the location. As it's located adjoining to the Kerry centre and metro, Moving around is a breeze and the famous JingAn temple is within walking distance.
You can even walk there via the interconnecting underground walk way from the hotel to visit the temple to escape the hot summer weather outside. Strange even with its superb location, taxis seems to be avoiding the hotel and uber does not seem to be working there.
It is with great regret to hear that your experience with us has been less than memorable. On behalf of the hotel, please accept my sincere apologies for the unpleasantness caused. We value your feedback and have taken the necessary measures to address the issues you have raised. Regarding the availability of taxis, it is somewhat a challenge during peak hours morning and right after working hours.
